-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If India wants to become a Developed Nation by 2020
All the stakeholders need to know the status of the social
and developmental challenges and the role they have to play in India's
Development
This need is the purpose of DevelopedNation.org
So
what will we do ?
Over 110 crore Indians stay in 35 States and Union Territories,
which are further divided into 612 districts.
Many
of India's states have population which is more than many of the
developed countries of the world.
Our states have districts which many times equal the number of counties
of most of the european countries
To get a true picture of India, one must learn the challenges of
our districts
DevelopedNation.org will therefore as a strategy, start with sharing
the Social and Developmental Challenges of districts of India. To
give you a picture, we will interview district level NGO leaders,
district administration and MPs, and also present the programmes
& interventions of multiple stakeholders districtwise and issuewise.
We
will simultaneously interview regional and national level NGO leaders,
donors, experts, academicia and thinkers to present what they feel
should be the roadmap to India's 2020 journey.
While
doing this, we will analyse the numbers - census 2001 and all government
figures, rank districts by issuewise priorities to help donor communities
focus attention
We are aware that because we are an internet media, our reachout
is limited, and hence, we will start media syndication, sharing
all our content to media across the country, so that millions of
people can read our research, analysis as well as their role in
India's development in their language through their daily papers
In the first phase, from 2007 to 2009, we plan to share over 20
000 programmes and interventions, 10 000 of them by March 2008.
These interventions would mostly be short, just covering the nature,
need and activity....all interested people can contact the appropriate
organisations through us. This will help us know the needs of the
communities we serve better by prioratising issue coverage.
By
December 2007, we plan to talk to NGOs in at least 500 of India's
districts. Before the launch, we infact have already talked to over
500 NGOs in 300 districts informing them about the effort we plan
to do.
By
December 2007, we plan to also share the portal with key 100 Funding
Agencies, 100 Corporates and National and Regional Media......
