Interview with Shanti Raghavan, Enable India

Shanti Raghavan on the significance Braille’s day

Persons with vision impairment have been able to see for along time due to Braille. Because when you use your tactile senses and read Braille you are actually feeling Braille or seeing it. So it their window to the world Significance of this day for me personally is that we work on employability of vision impairment. The people who have Braille literacy and who have used Braille to study read
books are much better and more employable.

The reason is that their spellings are good; their general knowledge is good and hence much more employable.
My personal plea would be all those with vision impairment who have the tactile sense to use Braille to learn more
