HSBC's Education Forum : Mr Sandeep Pandey, Founder Aasha Foundation Go To Education Home Page
Will ASHA ever have partnership with corporate India?

Yes, we would like to work with anybody. The only reason why we have limited ourselves to ASHA generated funds is because it gives us a freedom to do what we want.We have this philosophy that any grassroots work must be determine by the needs of the people, by the people themselves and preferably done by the people in the local area. It should not happen that the agency providing the funds should determine the nature of the programme to be implemented.

This is one of the reasons where we have not gone to the government or funding agencies. If the funding agencies are sensitive to the needs of the people then we are open to work with anybody. Lack of funds has never being bottle neck for us. The real bottle neck is good activists at the grassroots level. Resources you can always mobilize.
