Kalakad-Mundanthurai Tiger Reserve: towards a plastic free future

Kalakad-Mundanthurai Tiger Reserve (KMTR) covers an area of 900 sq kms and is located within the larger range of Agasthymalai in southern Western Ghats, India. This is the southern most habitat of the endangered tiger. This range is known for its high plant diversity and endemism and many of these have medicinal values as well. The region is also known for some highly endangered primates, endemic civets, bats, several species of birds, butterflies, amphibians and reptiles.
