Developmental Issues across the world

Coverage of Developmental Issues : Status and Plan

While most of the developmental challenges are common to all the countries - e.g. education, health, water ...., there are some issues which are country driven. e.g. In India, the issue of adoption is key. Of the estimated 25 million children without parents or parental love, only 3500 get adopted every year. To ensure that these critical issues get due importance, we have engineered the portal in a manner so that the coverage of issues is country wise. Of course, you will have cross linkages between countries, to ensure that we learn from successful experiments and failures from other countries.

As the part of the first phase of our pilot, between now till 15th December 2011, we will share the developmental issues India faces. Based on this, in the reminder phase of the first phase, which ends on 31st March 2011, we will start inviting experts on multiple issues across multiple countries to share the developmental challenges in their countries.
